FAQ

Whether you’re a seasoned crafter or just starting a DIY journey with a cutting machine, these guidelines provide all the essential information. Explore the frequently asked questions regarding paper selection, assembly techniques, and SVG template compatibility.

What paper weight is recommended?

For the best results, we recommend using cardstock with a weight of 180–220 gsm (65–80 lb cover). Use smooth or lightly textured paper; avoid very fibrous or soft papers as they may tear or fray during the folding and scoring process.

Which cutting machines are compatible with the templates?

Our templates are optimized for Cricut, Silhouette, or any machine that supports SVG, DXF, PDF, or PNG files. Using a precision cutting machine is the best way to ensure clean edges and perfectly aligned score lines.

What makes Papeora templates different?

Our templates eliminate the guesswork of manual alignment. Each design features an integrated symbol and tab system that acts as a natural guide. As you stack the layers, the tabs automatically create perfect spacing and depth. No rulers, no frustration–just professional results every time.

What type of glue is best for paper decor?

High-quality liquid paper glue or "tacky glue" with a fine nozzle is ideal. Applying a small amount and allowing it to become slightly tacky before joining parts prevents paper warping and ensures a strong bond.

Can the templates be resized?

Yes, since our templates are provided in vector formats (SVG, DXF, PDF), they can be scaled freely. However, keep in mind that scaling down significantly may make the glue tabs and intricate cutouts much harder to handle. We recommend maintaining the original size for the best assembly experience.

Can these templates be cut manually?

While a cutting machine is highly recommended for the cleanest and most consistent results–especially for advanced designs–manual cutting is a rewarding alternative for our beginner-friendly templates. If cutting by hand, we recommend using a sharp craft knife, metal ruler, and scoring tool. Please note that results may vary depending on your tools and experience.

What is included in the purchase?

Each digital download is a .ZIP file containing SVG, DXF for cutting machines, PNG files with transparent backgrounds (isolated) for digital use or reference, and PDF files for manual printing. You will also receive a detailed step-by-step Assembly Guide with diagrams, line-type legends, and practical tips.

Are the templates suitable for beginners?

Yes! We offer designs for various skill levels. To achieve a professional look as a beginner, we suggest starting with designs marked for lower difficulty.
Key tip: Always score your lines before folding. For the cleanest edges, pre-fold in the easier direction first, then fold in the required direction.

What are the usage terms for these templates?

A standard purchase is for personal use only. If you wish to sell physical finished products (the assembled paper decor) created from our templates, a Commercial (Unlimited) License is required. Specific license terms and conditions are listed in the details of each individual product.
